Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the iLende app provided by Square Wave AS ("Square Wave", "we", "us"), a company registered in Norway, company registration number 934 409 302. By downloading or using iLende you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use iLende on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

2. Purchases

iLende is free to use within Jotunheimen National Park. Access to the rest of Norway is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Purchases are processed and billed by Apple under your App Store account; refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. There is no subscription.

3. Safety & reliance — please read

iLende is provided for general reference and planning. Maps, routes, computed routes and turn-by-turn directions, elevation and other data may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, and a suggested route may cross terrain that is unsafe or impassable. Do not rely on iLende as your sole means of navigation in the backcountry. Outdoor and mountain activities carry inherent risks. Always carry appropriate equipment (including a map and compass), check current conditions, and use your own judgement. You are solely responsible for your safety and decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app or service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it by unauthorised means, place excessive automated load on our servers, or use it unlawfully.

5. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, Square Wave AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

6. Apple

These Terms are between you and Square Wave AS only, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, for addressing claims relating to the app (including product-liability, legal or regulatory, and intellectual-property claims), or for refunds (which are handled under Apple's policies). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

7. Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and the courts of Norway shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
